Dumfries and Galloway Council and the Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of the Arts (DGU) are delighted to announce a commissioning opportunity in Dumfries and Galloway for the freelance role of Administration/Communications Co-ordinator for Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of the Arts (DGU).
The role of Administration/Communications Co-ordinator contributes to the development of Dumfries and Galloway’s creative community and the delivery of DGU’s objectives by providing administrative support for the Board of Trustees of Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of the Arts (DGU) and carrying out a broad range of administrative functions to support the delivery of communications and marketing for DGU. The work and outputs of the freelance commission will be overseen by the DGU Arts Development Director.
The contract is for 9 months from 1 July 2017 to 31 March 2018 with the option to extend for a further period of 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance review and available funding.
A total of £10,647 is available for the 9 months up until 31 March 2018. Should the contract be extended for a further 12 months an additional £14,200 will be available for the following 12-month period until 31 March 2019 making a potential total contract value of £24,847. Our minimum requirement for the number of days to be spent delivering the commission is 12 days per month.
The application process for this freelance commission will be managed though the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) web portal and you must either be self-employed or registered as a company.

- You must register as a supplier on the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) web portal. There is ‘Help and Support’ advice available on the website to help you do this.
- You then need to express an interest before 12noon Monday 5 June 2017in order to receive the brief. You can express an interest by sending an email to email@example.com with the subject line ‘Administration/Communications Coordinator ’ telling us that you have registered as a supplier on PCS and that you would like to receive the brief. Please also tell us the supplier/company name you are registered under.
- The brief will be sent to applicants/suppliers who have registered and expressed an interest via the PCS website from 8 May 2017.
- All applicants/suppliers must upload completed submissions via the Public Contracts Scotland web portal no later than 2PM on Monday 12 June 2017.
Interviews for shortlisted applicants/suppliers are expected to take place w/b Monday 26 June 2017 in Dumfries.
