Creatives Unlimited seeks to stimulate artistic ambition by supporting creative practitioners and cultural organisations to take artistic risks or to interrogate how they currently do things.
Emergents Awards
This fund is now OPEN for applications.
Emergents awards are aimed at early career creatives (aged 18-30) from any artform and any role from practitioner to technician and anything in between. Applicants must be based in Dumfries and Galloway. The awards aim to support young people who are currently lacking support to create new or develop existing work and/or have limited access to professional or practical skills development opportunities, mentoring and confidence building.

If your idea is eligible, we will email you an Expression of Interest form which should be submitted by 12noon on Monday 25th July 2022.

Bright Sparks Fund
This fund is currently CLOSED for applications.
The Bright Sparks fund aims to support and challenge creative practitioners to take creative risks: to move out of their comfort zone; to raise ambition in the pursuit of furthering their creative practice. We want to invest in creative ideas that inspire people, fill people with energy and enthusiasm to experience the arts in Dumfries and Galloway.
Glass artist Amanda Simmons, musician Stuart MacPherson and playwright Carolyn Yates are the first recipients of Bright Sparks awards and were selected from a strong field of very talented artists who submitted high quality applications.

This fund is a quick and simple way for creative practitioners living and working in Dumfries and Galloway to apply for a small award of up to £750 to explore, develop and further their creative practice and professional development. (Visual artists and craft makers are signposted to Visual Artist and Craft Maker Awards)
