2020 has been a year of terrible disruption to normal life. The covid-19 pandemic has caused personal and economic misery for huge numbers of people across the UK. In the grand scheme of things, the cancellation of festivals and events has been the least of many people’s worries, despite the enjoyment many of us get from attending festivals, events and live sporting and cultural occasions and performances.
