Voices Unlimited is produced and hosted by Creatives Unlimited producer Tabi Mudaliar. Each podcast has a featured guest who has successfully pitched their idea after responding to one of our open calls seeking proposals. We commission creative practitioners and professionals to work with us through a paid commission on producing their idea for inclusion in one of our podcast shows. In conversation with Kim Ayres
Kim Ayres is a creative narrative and portrait photographer based in Castle Douglas, with a love for theatrical and cinematic visual storytelling. Shortly after the pandemic reached Scotland, he began his weekly Tuesday evening video podcast, “Understanding Photography with Kim Ayres” on Facebook Live, where he shares his knowledge of photography, and is steadily growing a creative, encouraging and supportive community.

Since it was established in late 2016, they have developed a public programme that includes exhibitions, screenings, readings, workshops, events and outreach projects. Scots Poetry - Crossing Artforms, Crossing Borders, Unlimited
Award winning Galloway based Scots poet Stuart A. Paterson and photographic artist Adrian Lambert tell us about their unexpected creative collaboration during Lockdown in 2020.
Stuart enjoyed a focused and productive creative spike throughout Lockdown and after reading the poems online, Adrian got in touch to say that he was enjoying ‘decoding’ the Scots language. After some further online ‘chatting’ Stuart suggested a collaboration with the Peak District based photographer – an image for each poem. The result is a unique, insightful, and beautiful self-funded collection of poems and photography called The Gither. |
