Fergus Birrell
"Hello, my name is Fergus, and I am studying and working in architecture in Glasgow.
I’ve always enjoyed technical drawing, but whilst here I’ve started to play about with different forms of representation, the clear lineweight type style as a way of illustrating the more technical drawings and then different ways of trying to then create images of the spaces. I have always been interested in place, and what makes them so different to one another.
This usually then drives not only my drawn work but also my written stuff too, with the history of Glasgow and its communites being the main topic of my dissertation. I’ve picked two projects i’ve worked on here, the collage and drawing both from a university social housing project, and then a feasibility render for a potential future project I worked on within our practice."
