Concern from Scottish Parliament over the future of instrumental music tuition in Scottish schools
Following its enquiry into music instrument tuition in Scottish state schools, the Scottish Parliament's Education and Skills Committee has now published its report 'A Note of Concern: The Future of Instrumental Music Tuition in Schools'.
This report sets out a range of recommendations. These are mostly related to councils making sure that their services are inclusive, transparent and fair. The report also recommends that SQA qualification-related tuition should comply with guidelines.
The report is available to download from the Scottish Parliament.
